För att kunna dela upp dragkraften i främre loken och dpu i mitten och längst bak så kan man sätta upp fence.

Det kan vara användbart vid start i stora stigningar, vad jag förstår.

I mfd panelen (b) där man ser dpu lokena man satt upp i början i klargöringen av tåget.
Tryck på shift+Å då kommer fencet upp (grön linje) tryck igen så går den till höger för att ta bort den tryck Skift+apostrofe (höger om plusknappen)

När man har fencet uppe kan man köra bara med bakre loken om man vill (dvs de loken höger om fencet)
för att gasa upp ett steg tryck Skift+Ä och för att gasa ned ett steg
skift+(knappen höger om Å).

Det står inte så i manualerna men det har väl med vårat svenska tangentbord kanske.

The fence is used when working on uphill grades. It is common to place the fence up to seperate your units. When you stop on the hill, you tend to want to have your DP units powered up two notches above your head end. For example, stopped at rowen with a 15 lb set. When the clear block presents you notch up to 6 on the rear dpu and 4 for your head end then knock the air off and slowly release the independent. This will enable the rear end to start shoving against the train and not allow for your train to roll out and possibly get a knuckle. Depending on the tonnage of the train will dictate whether you choose to run with the fence up or down. When I ran trains over the hill to Barstow I would run with the fence up to allow my rear end to work independently. Going west bound with the fence up works when you want to add more dynamic to the rear to act as an anchor to help slow you down. I hope this helps
