A very nice piece of work!
Have you ever concidered using foto textures instead of homemade - it can give a more natural effect, with highlights that are very hard to achieve else. Sometimes homemade textures give a somewhat dull appearence. I'm sure you have the possibility to get hold of some good pictures to use. Just a suggestion. |

Images in TS-2010, oddly enough it seems that it works better than TS-2009, something really funny, same machine, same sites, same textures, yet the flow is much more ....

those are really amazing models you´re making. But looking at all those details I can´t restrain from asking a few things: How many polygons are the Renfe 4000 ? Honestly! Is Renfe 4000 a LOD model, and how many steps are you using ? I´m asking of pure curiosity because I´m myself struggling with these problems. It´s very nice of you letting us, on the swedish Trainz Forum, take part in your work! Perhaps it could lead up to some Portuguise-Swedish cooporation in the future ? First I apologize for my English is not very good and do not know if I shall speak properly.
On the model I have to say that even this phase of experimentation with the "LOD", but if you say that has four levels, the machine in near vision was about 30,000 polygons in the second LOD is reduced to 27,000 polygons, in LOD and the third is left with about 16,000 and the fourth and last about 10,000, of course, this is a first scan I've done and everything is depending on the distance at which the LOD are located, still hope to achieve an improvement LOD sensitive between two and three and almost leave the room in about 5000, is a matter of trying to go in the game and those changes which are not very sharp, although I will say that there is already a lot of performance in 2009/10 with TS the first sweep. On the alliance "Hispano-Swedish" I must say I do not know much of the rolling stock of their country but if I know a few machines that always liked me and would not mind trying to make in the future.
